 Clifford Parts
Parts Folks,

I have been working with Larry over at Clifford Performance to try and get us some new intake options for our Hudsons. Its getting very hard to find stock Hudson Twin H intakes so we have been trying to devise a plan to cast a new Aluminum Twin H intake based on the stock Hudson Twin H intake. Without a doubt this intake design is the best there is. So we want to copy it for the new intake and make the carb options more varied so we can mount dual single barrel carbs or dual two barrels. The newer Weber carbs are a better option as they have better metering and parts can be changed out when tuning your engine to get the best economy and performance.

To cover the tooling costs we need 20 people to agree to preorder the intake. They would sell for $350 which is a good price for a new intake.

This is not a trivial process and will take about 8 months to complete. The original has to be measured and used as the basis of the new Aluminum casting. The carb bases have to setup so they hopefully accomodate both the original Carter WA-1's and the new carbs like the Weber 32-36. We will have to work out linkages and then test the performance to see if it works out nicely.

So this will take some committment from the Hudson community to get the work done. I don't think its too much to ask to pay your money up front to get a nice intake and have that intake available when we need them.

If you are interested pm or email me here or post over at the Hudson forums at Classic car.
