What I have been able to dig up so far is this. Before WWII Hudsons were built in Canada under contract to the Hudson Motorcar Company USA. The assembly was done by Canada Top & Body which after the war became Chatco Steel Products. This production facility went under the name Hudson Motorcar Company Canada and was located in Tilbury Ontario. I have letters and envelopes from the factory.
After the AMC merger in late 54 production in Canada was stopped around 1955 and without the Hudson contract the Chatco Steel company went out of business in 58.
